PanelistsWhat is the Advisor's Panel? What is the Advisor's panel? Our Advisor's Panel is a select group of dedicated and informed gamers who help us ensure that everything we print is accurate and relevant to the MOG community at large. They will be helping us monitor the various games we cover, reviewing articles prior to publication, and assisting us with other MOG-related projects. We are seeking Advisors for all games. At the moment, we are particularly in search of gamers who play Anarchy Online and Ultima Online, and gamers who play both major MOGs and one or more "indie" MOGs on a regular basis. You can find more details in our panel section. How do I get to be an Advisor (panelist)? We invite our panelists to be members, and we solicit active members of the gaming community. At some point, we may invite open, public applications, but for now, we are unable to do so. We want to keep the panel to a manageable number for administrative reasons, and we want to ensure that each member we add is committed to the panel responsibilities. It's a big job, but it's fun, and we've built a very close-knit community of gamers who care about sharing their knowledge about today's MOGs. Why do panelists need to sign an NDA?Much of the information we deal with is not yet common knowledge, especially when it comes to writing books or articles on games that are in beta. Because we respect the wishes of publishers and game developers, we do not want to pass along information they wish to keep private. So, all Advisors will be required to sign a non-disclosure agreement, as they will be working from time to time with confidential, unreleased games and publications. Upon being accepted into the panel, members will receive an NDA form that must be signed and mailed or faxed back to the IMGS office. |
